The Original PotHead was sown in July 2019 by entrepreneur and artist Isa Jones Alvarez with the intention to design products made to inspire the notion that ideas, abilities, and relationships are like seeds that when lovingly nourished, can grow into fruitful mediums for inner and outer prosperity. She began by painting and selling the PotHeads at markets in her hometown, San Miguel de Allende, México. Upon the PotHeads success, she shared them as a canvas for other artists in town. In March 2020 upon losing their other jobs due to the pandemic, the artisans became full time PotHead creators. Today, they work from home studios and make an elevated income from their passion for creating. The Original PotHead is now a team of 30+ painters, 6+ potters, and is sold in over 30 shops and nurseries across the United States and México.
